Dr Isabelle PIOT-LEPETIT

Is a Senior Research Scientist in Economics and Management at INRAE, and the Scientific Director of #DigitAg – Digital Agriculture Convergence Lab (https://www.hdigitag.fr/en/), Montpellier, France. Micro-economist, with a specialization in frontier approaches (Data Envelopment Analysis), she has conducted research on the measurement of efficiency and productivity and benchmarking of business performance, and developed skills in strategic and organizational management to understand how data analytics tools fit into organizational structures. Her new field of research focuses on the adoption and use of digital technologies in agri-food value chains and the study of the impact of digitalization on the strategies of actors and organizational changes, especially those leading to more sustainability and circularity in practices. She is also the coordinator of a work package in a Horizon Europe project on the Data Economy for Food Systems (Data4Food2030, 2022-2026), coordinated by Wageningen Research.
